GOLDEN PUMPKIN AWARDS – 2010s
Like every other awards-watcher out there, I have been making personal lists of best in cinema, since 2004. I call them the Golden Pumpkin Awards – after the name of my late blog thebalkabaa.com and my Twitter handle @thebalkabaa. Winners are handed out awards in my fantasy world, statistics are obsessively held in my beloved spreadsheets. Then I watch “that film” from 5 years ago, for the first time – awards are forcefully taken back and handed out to another, in new fantasies. Statistics are updated. It never ends. I hope that it never ends.
